Mesa Verde National Park

This morning we packed up some snacks and water and headed for Mesa Verde NP. Carol and I visited the park 2 years ago but Windsor and Pam hadn't been here. After stopping at the visitors center and getting our passports stamped and picking up tickets for our ranger tour we drove to Cliff Palace. Our tour was at 1:30 and we were back to the truck about 3:00. It's always interesting to tour the cliff dwellings and listen to different rangers. We checked out some additional sites in the park and then returned to Cortez. Carol suggested we have dinner at a Mexican restaurant that we ate at 2 years ago, "Tequilas". We were not disappointed. All the photos posted are from Mesa Verde.

Cliff Palace, the largest dwelling in Mesa Verde

Yucca plants and Juniper trees.....everywhere.

Balcony House from across the canyon

Soda Canyon home to over a 100 dwellings

The grain and colors of the old Juniper trees make an interesting subject.
