Arlington

Today we went to Arlington Cemetery. Another wonderful day and an amazing experience visiting Arlington, the Arlington House and The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Arlington House, the house where two generals are connected. George Washington at one time own Arlington, then through Washington's grand daughter Robert E. Lee ended up with the home. The home was basically confiscated from Lee during the War and used as a military installation. Arlington became a cemetery during the Civil War.

Everyone my age and older knows who this is. Movie Star, War hero and Medal of Honor recipient.

The Eternal Flame at John Kennedy's grave site. Jacqueline rest to the right of JFK.

A must see when in DC, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the changing of the guard...................Gosse bump time.

The Honor Guard, what an honor that must be.

Precision and pride, guard changed every 1/2 hour, 24/7. Every hour in the Winter.

This sign was hanging on guards quarters. AMAZING! Young Men
