Patton's Memorial at Chiriaco Summit

We set out on only a short drive and ended up at Joshua Tree national park and found the oasis at Chiriaco Summit and met two wonderful people. Margit Chiriaco Rusche and her brother Robert Chiriaco, the children of the founder of the community. Margit was a leading influence in the creation of this wonderful museum to honor General George S. Patton and the desert training center from WWII. If you're traveling through the area we highly recommend you stop for lunch, ice cream or just a cool drink and of course visit the museum. Very clean and people with good old fashion values.
