Goshen, Indiana - Cedar Creek Rally

Friday as I have everyday at the rally after getting dressed I went to the club hall for morning coffee and conversation. Carol comes over usually a little later. Today is clear but chilly. Our agenda today is a tour of the Cedar Creek factory, lunch on Cedar Creek then fast pace dice game later in the afternoon.

The tour is very informative. We see a new proto type 5th wheel (G2), which I haven't talked to anyone that liked it, many new Cedar Creeks and some Custom Cedar Creeks that were very nice. Touring the production facility I was impressed with several constructional features in the Cedar Creek. Carol is enjoying looking at all the new 5th wheels, she kept after me to "come see this floor plan", "isn't that one nice". I met the service manager and ask him several questions regarding our scheduled warranty work. After the tour we all drive over to a Amish family style restaurant for a late lunch.

Back at the park everyone goes to club hall for the dice game. Everyone brings a gift, all the gifts are piled in the middle of the circle of participants (everyone), 5 small boxes with 2 dice start about every 5th person. You roll at the same time, if you get a 7 or 11 you run and get a gift and tear it open throw the wrap behind you out of the way, the dice are passed to your right so if you're opening a gift you must hurry because the next set of dice are coming fast. Then after all the gifts are open you have a time limit to continue to keep passing the dice and if you roll a 7 or 11 you can take a gift from any participant. Everyone had a great time. Carol ended up with a prize that I'm sure will return next year, the "bikini clad chicken".

After dark we sat around the fire until it began to sprinkle. We're continuing to have a wonderful time. It's amazing how people we have just met seem to be such good friends. I hate to see the rally end.
