Tuesday, May 6

Toronto Ontario, Canada

We got a good nights sleep to rest up for a full day in Toronto. After breakfast we took to the streets (or should I say tunnel) to get to the Hockey Hall of Fame when it opened at 10:00 A.M. We finally found a map and made it all of the way underground. The Hall of Fame is located in an old Bank of Montreal building right by the train station. It is the oldest sports hall of fame and the building itself is beautiful. Steve got to hit some slap shots and I played goalie (all on a digital screen). Steve did better as goalie. After visiting the souvenier shop and a new t-shirt, we made it to the Spaghetti Factory for lunch before our trek back up hill to downtown and the Eaton Centre. We saw a lot of shops and walked through Sears (made Steve homesick!). I found a quaint little jewelry shop and got a charm bracelet that is very unique and something I can add to in the future. We ended up finding a new restaurant that had been open only two days, Jack Astor's. We had a great meal and great service plus a wonderful view of downtown including the Hard Rock Cafe across the street. We were off the streets early as we had to be at the train station by 7:30 for our train to Niagara Falls.

The oldest trophy in professional sports, The Stanley Cup.

The "Wall of Fame" in the Hall of Fame.

The CN Tower.

Waiting for the train!
