May 5 - Franklin, Tn.

Sunday we drove down to Franklin had a great lunch at Puckett's and walked the historic Main Street. After our walk we drove to "The Factory". The Factory used to be a large manufacturer of wood an/or coal burning stoves and when electric ranges/ovens came along this huge building became a shell. Now it is full of small unique stores, eateries, antique stores and entertains 1000's with live concerts.
Monday we left Nashville, promising to come back. In fact, just a few miles out of Nashville Carol says to me, "You know I could live here".

Memorial for Confederate soldiers in Franklin's town square, or round about now.

"The Factory", very neat place. Check it out if our in Nashville and have lunch at Puckett's.

"Rusty" the recycled factory man. Made from parts found around the factory.
