This morning we decided to head over the the mountains towards Moab and stay around Grand Junction. Here we are at another KOA, checked in around 6:00 PM, ate dinner went for walk and watched football. Will be a short drive to Moab tomorrow morning. Carol wants to look for some fresh fruit before we leave GJ.
The drive over from Denver on I70 was nice. Several of the ski resorts were in the process of making snow, we saw mountain sheep in several locations, beautiful aspens in fall colors. Stopped in Vail for a snack and break. Movie stars and celebrity's can have it. What a zoo!
As you start down the west side the terrain changes, more rock formations, different colors combinations, rough rock canyons, fertile valleys with fruit orchards and head waters of the Colorado river. Around Rifle, CO there were several oil rigs, brought back memories of working in the oil field for dad.
We enjoy the rocks, different colors and the beautiful sunset on the mesa's and bluff's.
